Kayla absolutely adores riding in the boat and swimming around in the water...she can't get enough and we can't get enough of her because she's so freakin' cute! She even went tubing and spent the entire time dangling her hands in the water and trying to put her head in the water (Uncle Brook was driving very slow:-)

Ski bunnies!

Kayla goes for her first ski! What a fun time we had with our very good friends in CB! The first weekend Gramie, Grandad, Uncle Brook and Bryan came out for some fun on the slopes. Then Kayla and I stayed out for the week to spend some time with Katie and Anika and had such a fantastic time!! Kayla took her first ski and we played in the ice igloo...

Cross country skiing! Kayla wasn't too fond of the super ski stroller at first but the movement soon put her right to sleep...and mommy got to enjoy a quick ski.

Happy new years 2009! Kayla rang in the New Year in the comfort of her bed...Bryan and I rang in the New Year playing guitar hero with our neighbors:-)

Work on Kayla's new playroom began!

President Obama's inauguration...rather than heading downtown we watched from the comfort of our home...Kayla was really taking in the speech.

Our first powder of the 2009 arrives...

So off to Pennsylvania we immediately headed to go skiing with Brook and the Farkosh's! Love the fam! And Bryan and I went out two weekends in a row (a record for us as of late!:)...first to celebrate Jamey's 30th birthday and then for Jamey's "surprise" birthday party....where he faked his surprise face very well.

Too much to talk about!

Let's see what we've missed over the past month and a half that I've failed to blog...a whole lot of football, leaves, Halloween, Thanksgiving, more football and Kayla's little voice coming to life! Kayla's first consistent words other than the typical mama, dada, no, were 'all done' and 'uh oh'. Then she moved onto repeating everything we were saying and her vocabulary has just been expanding exponentially ever since. Her current favorites (and very cutely so)being Touchdown (followed by throwing both arms emphatically into the air and cracking up at herself), Football, Hot Cocoa, Elmo and Milk....probably in that order. She also has become a kissing machine over the past few months...she loves kissing everything from her bath toys to every dog in our neighborhood...pretty much anything and anyone that comes her way. She's such a little lovey. And although she's been a dancing queen for many months now, she now enjoys dancing on any raised platform that she climbs her way up onto (should we be worried :-)
